| Objectives: | This course will certify the officers in the yearly mandate for defibrillation/first aid. In addition to the bloodborne portion of this course, each officer must have an annual review of his or her agencies protocol and policy regarding bloodborne pathogens. The hazardous material portion of this course funded through a traffic service grant form the Illinois Department of Transportation and the ILETSB. The course objectives for the HazMat portion of this course are as follows: • Define domestic and international terrorism per the current department of justice definition. • Illustrate, through case histories, various types of potential incidents. • Define differences and similarities between responding to terrorist and non-terrorist incidents. • Recognize suspicious circumstances that may indicate possible terrorism |
